eXcelon Corporation Announces Partnership With XMLSolutions Corporation

eXcelon B2B Integration Server Provides Superior Extension and Expansion of Existing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 21, 2000-- eXcelon(TM) Corp. Under the terms of the agreement, eXcelon Corp. will incorporate XMLSolutions' XEDI Translator(TM) with its B2B Integration Server, allowing companies to extend and expand their existing electronic data interchange (EDI). eXcelon Corp.'s B2B Integration Server gives companies the freedom to build and leverage current EDI solutions, while at the same time extending and augmenting the solutions in ways that allow companies to have richer interactions with new and existing customers.

XMLSolutions' Java-based XEDI Translator uses completely open standards to seamlessly integrate with EDI trading systems. Through this integration, it is possible to extend existing EDI systems to non-EDI trading partners, thus allowing a much larger number of companies to take part in Internet-based trading communities. The strategic partnership enables eXcelon Corp. to resell the XEDI Translator with its B2B Integration Server, thereby extending its power and allowing companies with significant investments in EDI systems to further tap into the power of XML.
