In fact, Kate Reinders, who was also an extraordinary Glinda, starred in Chicago for a long time before coming to Broadway. When she was there, Ana Gasteyer (of Saturday Night Live fame) played Elphaba opposite her. Then, for a limited run at the end of 2007, Ana played Elphaba on Broadway opposite Kate again (and we got to see her once).
