Yes, I'm quite pleased with K-9. Not the "prettiest" email client I've ever used, but quite functional. Also, each release has gotten better, both in looks (inching in that direction) as well as stability, which is pretty darn good. The only issue I have with it is processing very large text emails (> 100KB), but I just don't open those mails on the Droid now.

Thanks - the link to the Yahoo press release was very helpful.

Did you end up sticking with K-9 for POP3 mail?

I'm not a Yahoo user, so I can't respond directly. That said, Yahoo just released a suite of apps on Android so if you haven't tested recently, you might want to try again. Seems like they are committing to the platform, and this could be a very good time for "you know who" to switch!

http://yhoo.client.shareholder.com/press/releas...

Let me know what you end up doing. :-)

We are considering switching a Blackberry user (you probably know who..) over to an Android device. I've used my G1 for nearly two years, and it works flawlessly with Gmail online and offline. But wondering how the user experience would be for a Yahoo POP3 user? I know that Yahoo on a Blackberry has very good integration. Do you know whether we could expect this same type of user experience using Yahoo mail on an Android? Most critical is whether it works well offline.

I did do a quick test on my old G1, and the offline experience was not good - it seemed to work as well as a web app would offline (i.e., not at all), but I'm guessing devices later than G1 work better..

Any thoughts?
