Zero G Receives Major Round of Funding Private Equity Investment Led By Opticality Ventures

Investment Accelerates Zero G's Entry Into the ASP Infrastructure Market

SAN FRANCISCO, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Zero G Software, Inc., the leading provider of multi-platform software deployment solutions, today announced it has received a second-round private equity financing investment, led by Opticality Ventures. Based in Briarcliff Manor, New York, Opticality is a venture capital firm that specializes in early and expansion-stage investments in private technology companies.

According to Eric Shapiro, Zero G's president and CEO, the funds will be used for new product development, to accelerate partnership opportunities, and to facilitate the company's expansion into the application service provider (ASP) infrastructure sector. Zero G, which is best known for its InstallAnywhere® deployment product line, is evolving its business model toward software services, targeting the burgeoning ASP market.

``We are extremely pleased with the confidence that Opticality and other partners such as Schoffstall Ventures have placed in Zero G by making a significant investment in our company,'' Shapiro said. ``Opticality has a remarkable knack for choosing up-and-coming technology companies and then providing the financing and the business expertise for them to move quickly into leadership positions. We look forward to taking full advantage of Opticality's investment in time and money as we face the challenges and opportunities ahead.''

``We are very impressed with Zero G. The company has a terrific management and a talented development team. They are well-positioned to take advantage of the dramatic growth we see coming in the ASP infrastructure space,'' said Hadar Pedhazur, principal of Opticality Ventures. ``We were drawn to Zero G's track record and the remarkable success of its multi-platform, software deployment products. We are glad to have the opportunity to help accelerate the company's expansion.''
